Yes, Chris can play and did you notice no picks but a great sound.

Yes, you can clearly see the picks when he adjusts the microphone at 0:38 before he begins playing.

OK, completely miss them. But I still like his playing. I only live a bout 50 miles from this place just wish I knew they were playing there.

In addition to the great steel playing, I like the snare drum brush (brush-bass) while plucking by the bass player.

I like that as well! Noticed a wire running from that pad, it must be amplified.
Wonder where they sell those, might like one for my bass . . Cool

His set with Marty Stuart is absolutely amazing! It seemed to me at that time he was also using a flat pick. Not sure what that was about, but it sounded good.
