Okay been using this amp for awhile and out of the blue the reverb starts giving me feedback, even with nothing plugged into the amp. ????? I know they are know for noise, but this sounds like feedback? Any ideas? _________________ MSA CLassic SD-10

I noticed my NV1000 will squeal if it's on a hard surface like concrete. So I make sure its on a rug. |

It squeals level or tilted, on stand or carpet _________________ MSA CLassic SD-10

No it doesn't squeal when reverb known is turned off. The tank seems to functioning it really rattles when bumped _________________ MSA CLassic SD-10

I would remove the rank from the bag and verify the spring assembly is floating freely via the support springs to the reverb tank case. If not then make corrections and reinstall. |

could be a tank coil changing impedance too. I hope not those tanks can run into some money. |

if you can get into the tank put a finger on the springs near each end one end at a time and turn the amp on. if it is the driver oscillating into the tank you will feel the springs lightly vibrating and your touching the springs will dampen the squeal but probably wont stop it completely |

Ken, it must have been that speed bump. The spring assembly was totally out of line. Put it back in place and problem solved. Thanks to everyone for ideas, but Ken nailed the problem. _________________ MSA CLassic SD-10

Glad you found it! I saw that once before on an amp. The assembly bounced up and was resting on one the two pins that go thru the holes on the spring assembly frame. It howled liked nothing I ever heard! |

Please explain further.
In a Nashville 112, what is the driver?
Where is it located? |

a reverb driver is the portion of an amp that takes the sound from the preamp and routs it to a circuit that increases it somewhat then sends it into a coil in the reverb tank. this causes the springs to viberate in step with the original signal.the driver in a 112 is a 8 pin op amp chip. it is designated u5 a and b . i dont have the layout paperwork so i cant tell you where it is on the board but shouldnt be to hard to find. |
