It was her grandson who died a few days ago.

June 9: "More tragedy for country icon Loretta Lynn: Her eldest grandson died suddenly on Monday. Lynn, 84, announced the death of Jeffrey Allen Lynn, 47, on Thursday on her website and Facebook page. Ever the trouper, she said she would postpone, but not cancel, two upcoming shows to be with her family."
