A Great song by Vince and of course Vince Gill still knows the defining instrument in REAL COUNTRY MUSIC is the Steel Guitar and my friend Paul Franklin plays it flawlessly and with a bottomless pit of Emotions that of course go with this highly emotional song.
RIP Merle; and thank you Vince and Paul for your
Dear Hearts.

Oh man! Such a touching lament and tribute to one of the world's greatest musicians, singers and poets. I cannot imagine a better setting or 2 more sincere people to deliver it. |

Beautiful.
A pair of class acts all the way. Love these guys. I wish they were my neighbors.
As I wrote in the long Hag thread, my wife and I saw the third to last concert of his life here in Santa Rosa in February, at the same venue where I have seen Vince and Paul (and Tommy White with Vince) in the past. I feel extremely blessed to have been there that evening. _________________ Mark |

A beautiful tribute to the "Hag"..............Pauls work on this bridges the "golden era", and the new sounds on the horizon. Merle would be proud. |
