I can't seem to find a long tone bar that is standard 7/8" diameter, and is 3.75" long. I tried a friends Dunlop 921 bar that is 3.75 x 1" and I like the length but it's a little heavy, so if I could find the 3.75" length in a 7/8" bar I think it would be perfect. Playing U12 with a standard 3 1/4" bar works OK, but a longer bar would be more convenient, covering more strings, requiring less fore and aft movement. If anyone knows of one let me know.
Thanks, Larry

I've been thinking of ordering a Paloma Stone Ceramic bar. The longest they offer is 3 1/2".

Have a look over in Amps & Accessories.
Leon Champion may still have a BJS 12 string 7/8
or two left.
Really good deal @ 50 clams too.

Hey Larry,

I'm not surprised that you feel that way. It's quite a handful.

Use it as long as you like. When you're done, it might serve a higher purpose carried in my pocket for "protection."

I'm playing the Dunlop 921 too. It was weird in the beginning because of the heaviness. But after a few months of playing it, i don't want to change it anymore...There's so much more tone and sustain.

Hi all, I contacted Steve Gunder that Lane referred me to and he had a 7/8 x 3 3/4 bar already made, which I am buying from him. Thanks for all the input. Calvin, I contacted some machine shops and most do not want small one off projects and the one I found that does small projects wanted a minimum $145.00 setup charge.😳 Dan, Thanks for letting me borrow your Dunlop 921
