Scott - I play pedal steel, non-pedal steel and Dobro. Non-pedal steel is (include Dobro there), IMHO, easier than pedal steel, although I have often wished there was an available throw when I'm in the middle of a solo . I find that I play differently with and without pedals. _________________ Jack Aldrich

I think in time you will regret that. You need both. |

I know I will Alan, but the thing is I actually did a lot better with pedal steel than I did 35 years ago, so I accomplished something. the ol' back and shoulders just can't take the weight anymore. _________________ Amateur Radio Operator NA4IT (Extra)

I may, in fact, be nuts. However, I am screwed onto the right bolt... Jesus! |

I noticed that during October when I had to haul a pedal steel down to UPS to mail it the other side of the country. I actually illegally parked in front of UPS rather than carry it several blocks.
But my Sho-Bud Crossover, which is about as heavy as you could hope for, stays set up in my music room. They're only heavy if you have to move them. |
