This is a 1/4 inch thick magnetic rubber sheet. The top is washable nylon fabric. The magnetic backing keeps it in place when placed on the strings. It is very comfortable to rest your arm on while playing the front neck. When you switch to the back neck, it is very easy and quick to move it to the front neck out of the way.

By turning it upside down, it is great to remove dust from the fret board or wiping the strings down.

Your arm and your strings will thank you. This just really feels good. Much better than resting your arm on the strings or fighting a cloth padding. It is black in color, not the dark gray like the camera caught.
