Just for ole times sake as well as reference....

here is the 2nd string 1/2 stop on my Legrande II. I took it all apart for cleaning and lube this morning as I felt some binding.

I also have the 9th string lower and 3rd string C6th lower on this lever. RKR

The thumb screw is where the 2nd string 1/2 stop note is tuned as well as where the STOP is felt by the spring and stop collar. Moving THAT collar forward stiffens the spring for a more positive stop or use a stiffer spring. A Happy medium.

Adjust the full tone drop with the lever fully engaged, then the 1/2 stop with the thumb screw. The 9th string gets adjusted with the full tone drop as does the 3rd string on C6.

The whole underside gets a full cleaning and polishing this spring. It's nasty smoke/barroom filthy from previous owners, can't have that ! Great player though...

Every part will shine . It will be about a one full week project , can't wait !
