I have for sale my 1969 Emmons. It is equipped with brand new changers (July 2015) manufactured by Dean Chance of Houston, TX. Each piece of the changers was milled from aluminum stock from CAD drawings done by Dean to exact original factory specs. I have the original changers as well and will include them with the guitar, but they are pretty well worn, hence the new ones. Rick Price and myself and a few others are using these new parts in our push pulls and they sound and operate fantastic.

It is a working guitar, not a collector's item, and there are the usual dings and scratches on it you would expect on a 46 yr. old steel, but it plays and sounds like a push pull should. It is set up properly (pulls timed, and stops set right) with Emmons setup. I do not lower 6th string on E9, but I do raise 1st (+1)RKL and lower 2 & 9 RKR as standard; half stop on 2nd string, Es on left leg.

It has served me well, but I just bought a newer all pull guitar with 8 & 8, so i can't afford to keep this Emmons. Economics dictates the sale.

I've done many shows with it, including RFD TV's Tru Country with Bobby Flores, and many sessions. It is on 5 of the top 100 songs on the Red Dirt TX charts for last year, and has had the honor of gracing the stage with many distinguished folks, including Tony Booth, Darrell McCall, the late Curtis Potter, Amber Digby, Justin Trevino and Leon Rausch, to name just a few.

Email me at emmonsd10@yahoo.com if interested. I prefer not to ship, so if you live in TX, OK, or LA I can probably meet you half way. I'm all over TX every week, so that may help if a delivery can be arranged.

PRICE: $4000.00

Wow, I know this is a for sale thread and I'm aware of the ettiquette, but I can't resist commenting on Jody's playing in the video. It led me to one of him playing a C6th version of "I Don't Believe I'll Fall in Love Today". What great chops and phrasing. And, oh yeah, this guitar sounds great!

I agree Clyde I as well understand the etiquette but I was just floored by the tone of this 69 I had to share it... Slim Very Happy

Hi brother Olson! Wow, it's close. My serial number is 1308.

Hope you are well. I play with our old pal and former Farewell Party alumni Doug Boggs quite a bit down here, so "Howdy" from Doug, too. Thanks, Jody

Hey Jody:
They are close... very cool. I'm really diggin' the way my '69 sounds too. Mine's also rosewood so they probably have some matching wood & mica DNA.

Tell Doug Boggs I said hey if you'd be so kind Jody. You stay well brother and good luck with the sale.

Jody, put it under the bed and hang on to it. These babies are like land - "it ain't making anymore"! I've got a '70 p/p and also an all pull, but IMO the p/p tone wise, just buries the A/P hands down!

Jody, I have heard you play many different guitars but this one just has that growl and sparkle that
have the Emmons tone, John B, is right stick it under the bed for a while, pull it back out, play Danny Boy or Way to Survive and your gonna say what was I thinking. I can see Brother Bowman smiling that smile and saying "Ya Baby there it is! "
Hope things are well with you.

John said it all. I have a 66 bolton, 70's Fatback, and two quality all pull. My favorite is the bolton. Hang on to it. I always go back to the Emmons PP's.
