I had Windows 7 on my desktop & kept getting notices from Microsoft that my computer is compatible for Windows 10, & that I should upgrade.. Eventually I did.. It's much faster, BUT, I'll be working on the computer, & it freezes & then the screen goes black. The white cursor is still on the screen, but can't do anything with it.. I then must physically shut it down, then restart it.. I am starting to regret upgrading.
Any suggestions are welcome..

Try searching for an updated video driver. If one is available from your computer's manufacturer and it's made to work with Windows 10, that should fix the problem.

If there are no updated vide0 drivers from the manufacturer, check your Windows Update history to see if an optional update that was automatically applied was for a generic Microsoft video driver. These often break things that worked fine before Micky Mouse hosed them. If you find that one was installed, uninstall that update and force a rollback to the original driver. Then hide the bad driver in Windows Update settings so it doesn't get reinstalled the next time Windows Updates are pushed out.

Thanks Wiz. I can't find a driver update for my Intel card.. There is a yellow exclamation mark there. I will check to see if any driver was installed with the upgrade..

How recently did you upgrade to Windows 10?

I think you can roll back to Windows 7 for 30 or 31 days.

After that, you may be stuck with Windows 10 unless you made a formal image backup of Windows 7 before upgrading.
