This is a recording I did with my daughter. I apologise that it is not country however the interesting part is that we used BIAB for the backing.
The idea was that the sax parts are so iconic could you in fact change the instrument and still achieve that feel. Pedal steel seemed ideal.
I started with a midi file and got the system to interpret the chords.
The style was _CDRVNPS.STY Fast drivin with pedal steel at 115 bpm. As the steel was not required this was muted.
I then transferred the file to Cubase via the daw and then copied the audio tracks in to my daughters dropbox folder.
She lives 11 miles away so saved her a journey.
She picked up the files and used Audacity to record the vocals and put these audio files into dropbox whereupon I put these into Cubase and then recorded the pedal steel parts.
Hey presto - the finished result.
