I think I have asked this before, but I still have never found a style that I think really sounds good with Hawaiian music...i would think a uke sound would be nice, but I really havent come with anything that sounds decent. What do you use for use with songs like Blue Hawaii, Lovely Hula Hands, and other pretty commercial Hawaiian tunes such as these ?

David J. Stewart has several BBIB backing tracks available for free for the the songs you mentioned as well as many others. They can be found in the song tabs section on his immense lap steel site.

Probably more in there somewhere. Maybe you will hear something useful.

Hope that helps.

Hi Larry,

I am a Hawaiian Steel Guitar player and use the following in the 2010.5 BIAB program:

UKEBASS AND AC BASS (on b)

ZZ JAZZ - JAZZ SWING STYLE

ZZ JAZWAL - JASS WALTZ STYLE

These are the best in the 2010.5 BIAB for Hawaiian backup.

They are just adequate, and I would still like to see more improvement in the Hawaiian backup section of BIAB.

Maybe, later editions of BIAB offer more. I have not chosen to get these later editions because I just use what I have for practice. That is sufficient.
