I just finished up a first Prototype 6 string AlumiGliss Lap Steel, based on the excellent design & input of Artist/Endorser Myk Freedman (mykfreedman.com).

This version has a 24" scale length, Armstrong M213K humbucker, Lefty/Righty control layout, narrow 3" neck with full width fretboard, parallel string spacing at bridge/nut, set to 3/8" on center.

This is a heavy gauge plate model with a more traditional guitar shape body, sandwiched over a modified Dan Walsh fry pan shaped tube core.

I left the PRO mods off this one, and although you give up a bit of sustain up the neck, the acoustic tone really comes through. Lots of "Honk".

Currently I have it strung with 16-56 strings, and tuned in open E. It has the same V-notched bridge and nut arrangement, so other gauges/tunings or left handed conversion is easy.

I also used the lower, more slippery brass nut I install on my Mini-REZ's. As with all my prototypes, I never keep them, so will put this one is up for sale!

Specifications:
===================

24" scale
Kent Armstrong M213K humbucker
parallel string spacing @ 3/8" on center
6 string 16-56 strings, open E tuning currently
Grover Rotomatic 102c tuners
Chrome dome knobs
1 volume and 1 tone control
approximate weight = 8lbs
approximate dimensions = 33 1/2" L x 9" @ widest point (lower bout)

*USA made gig bag included

This steel plays and sounds excellent!

International shipment by Priority Mail International Express @ $100.00 USD flat fee. All customs forms marked as "merchandise", no exceptions. Customs fees or duties are the buyer's responsibility to know about in their country.
