I'm sort of interested in finding one of the Fender Artist D10 built by Sho-Bud, I believe.
How do they compare in size and weight to the other Sho-Bud models say....Professional, Pro series, Super Pro etc? Any savings in weight? Thanks. |

| If you Facebook there is a group called Fender Pedal Steel. Although it's mostly about the 400/800/1000/2000 models, there is some discussion about the Sho-Bud Fenders. You might get some help with your questions there. There is also a Sho-Bud group. |

| I have a D-10 Fender Artist. It is heavy, i don't think it would be much lighter at all than a 'Bud of similar vintage. I did play a Sho-Bud D-12 that was a little heavier. Not sure about the size, i can measure when i get home, but my understanding is the Fender is the same as a Super Pro, just a different bridge fingers and tuner pans. |

Thanks Daniel. Just the info I needed. No need to measure if it's like the Super Pro. I'm familiar with those dimensions and weight.

I had one earlier this year, a nice steel, Super Pro underside, different key head pan and changer. Good player, nice tone. Kinda like a Pro 1. If I didn't find a Pro 1, same parts... I would have kept it ! By the way, all typical Sho Bud parts from that era...

| a friend had use of a d10 for awhile and i thought it was really cool. had a distinctive sound of it's own. very mooneyish. |
