Gary: Do you remember from where or whom you heard this from? I picked around the Dayton Fairborn & Columbus area for years up until 1971. I've known every steel player in those areas going back to the early 60's and I have not heard about anyone passing as of yet. I will check with some of my contacts there and if I find out anything I'll post it here.
Best regards
Ron

I don't think it matters who told me , i told him that i would see if i could find anything out . I to know a lot of players in Ohio . This just caught me off guard . I haven't heard anything myself . Since i am the President of the Ohio Steel Guitar Association i get to know a lot of people . Generally i am the first one they call when they hear anything . This is all i know .

Gary, I haven't heard anything from over this way either. I guess it's still possible that we lost someone... But, between Chubby and Phil Perry's forum posts, I'm pretty sure the word would've gotten out by now.
