This info is from Gregg's older post. I have a couple of these eight string kits, but do not have any need for them as I want to stay with the six strings.
The pics are Gregg's and will give you an idea of what they look like. I am not interested in any trades at this time.

Assembled body with neck and fretboard ready to add your choice of hardware and a finish. (hardware not included). Nice opportunity to finish a high quality 8 string yourself at your leisure.

Birch body, cream color bindings

Mahogany neck

Rosewood fretboard 25" scale

The Fretboard is pre-drilled to use (6) 5/16" inlay dots in the middle and (4)1/4" inlay dots at the end of the board.
(Guitar and neck sanded to 150 grit)

Includes ebony nut and ebony capped maple bridge inserts.

You'll need to glue on the neck, fretboard, sand to 320 grit, install inlays, apply a finish, and mount hardware and tuners, fit the insert to the spider bridge and setup the guitar.

Printable instructions with photos and parts list of needed parts and part #'s included.

How much time would it take to complete one of these?

Depends on your skills. I have instructions that come with it. The hard work has been done. All you have to do is glue up the neck add hardware and finish. There is a nice list of hardware needed and where to purchase it in the instructions. E mail the address above if you have further questions.
