Buddy Emmons is one of my steel guitar heroes. His genius will be sadly missed. I think he revolutionised the pedal steel guitar.

This eighties country tune was made famous by John Conlee, accompanied by Buddy Emmons on pedal steel. Later, Buddy recorded his own instrumental version of it. I was lucky enough to be present at one of Buddy Emmons' workshops in which this tune was featured.

This is my recording of a few years ago here on lap steel ( West Coast C6) and pedal steel (MSA Classic XL, E9 neck). Lap steel first two thirds and pedal steel last third of recording. All accompanying tracks by me.
