It's in sugarmegs.org, reasonably high grade sound. I have often thought Warren Haynes has been very lucky, "getting" to play with Dicky Betts, Jimmy Herring, Phil Lesh, Derek Trucks and vice-versa - what a way to get good at soloing! Some of those last Allman gigs, once in a while Derek would play with his fingers and Warren would play slide - oh foo, you know? And there is some ridiculously-fine steel soloing going on here - sink or swim, and Sless swims.

When I first started playing, and I was trying to understand what to do with fills, and solos, I would get really frustrated with my mentors. Their answer to, it seemed, everything, was to "just play what you feel". I don't know? Maybe it's just me? I kind of think Barry S. gives "just play what you feel" a whole new meaning?
Cool. Thanks. |
