Beautiful red Super Pro $2600 + shipping. Serial no. 17766. D-10, 8x6. Super nice guitar, NOT all beat up. Some checking in laquer. My camera wouldn't pick it up. Small hickey on key head end end plate as shown in pic. Shown with Telonic pu's but now has 705 reissues. Naturally it has has the great Sho Bud sound with all my amps, no complaints. Plays good, looks good, like driving a classic.
I can't vouch for previous owners, but since it has been my main guitar, yes it has been gigged nearly every weekend since I retired in March. And yes if has seen smoke but still treated with TLC.
Currently has a DAY setup of Terry Bethel's E9th figured out by Terry himself, including the Crawford D on the 2nd string. Guitar was setup by Dwight Cook of Amarillo and plays quite good. Any reconfiguring will be buyers responsibility. Sorry, I'm not much of a mechanic. Reason for selling: sooner rather than later I'm not going to be able to easily transport by myself with all my artificial parts, so I'm going a little different route.
$2600 plus shipping.
In all fairness to all I will respond in order of posts. Thanks!!

Since home PC is down and I can't figure out how to get my tablet to upload pics, can I talk someone into helping me with the pics. I can send them to you. Thanks.

Thanks Ed and Skip for helping me with the pictures, it is much appreciated. BTW the pics were taken with an i5 smart phone.
I might add that the tone switch and knob is disconnected and has been as long as can be remembered. The tone still kicks butt.
Sorry for delay in getting back to everyone. Between family an picking it is going to be a busy weekend. So please be patient. Thanks to all.

I noticed that ring. Larry, did you get that out of a bubble-gum machine?

Hi Larry, That picture of you that Ed posted looks very good. I think that is my hat. The ring is nice too. I have know Larry since he was about 18 or 20 years old and was a great guitar picker then. Remember when he got the D-10 ZB. He was as we say here in Oklahoma in Hog Heaven whatever that means? Proud of you Larry and keep on picking, Your Friend, J.R.(Jim)

Some questions were raised over the weekend about my Super Pro, so hopefully this may answer them.
This is a helluva good looking steel. Yes the laquer finish has some checking although not it hasn't been subjected to extreme weather temps for the past several years. No it isn't mint or as new condition. You can tell it's been played but taken care of. No edge wear, a couple small bar dings between necks,NOT what you normally find.. I myself use a bar and pick holder. Minor pick marks on aluminum by pickups but polishes out pretty good. Tone control and knob are disconnected and has been for a apparently a long while. There's a little hickey on the key head end endplate. It could be sanded out and polished but I just polish over it and go on. I do have a pic if needed. No edge wear. Pedal board looks good and polishes up nice but not brand spanking new, the guitar is about 33-34 years old maybe someone can tell the age from pics of serial no.
Hope this answers some of the concerns. Thanks again for looking.

Thanks Danny for the kind words. It is a killer steel, as always I'll probably regret selling it.

Folks I have seen this 'horn' up close and personal. It's one of the cleanest best playing sho buds around. Larry is a bit too critical of its appearance. It's beautiful. Yep, I'm from west Texas as well. We do call 'em horns out here. Larry good luck with the sale. Someone will be getting a great guitar.

Thanks Baxter. I would rather be super critical of the guitar even on things that don't bother me than to have someone say I wasn't truthful about something. All questions are welcome because I might have missed something that's important to someone else. Man it's a cool guitar, Sho Bud tone from hell especially with my Evans. One really has to work to find a bad tone. Everything from Chaulker to Charelton. But I want to do something else and I'm sure I will probably regret selling this guitar.

A guitar isn't an axe either but some folks try to make them one, LOL Laughing Laughing

The price on this great guitar is now $2600+shipping. I played this guitar last night at a jam through my Evans and all I can say is WOW!!! Sho Bud tone all the way. Performed flawlessly. Great price on a great guitar.
