What a treat to hear Dan Jones play at the June 14th Denver Steel Guitar Show. Excellent quintet, tight performance, Dan Jones is a C6 MONSTER!
Jazz is not something I listen to often. I find it offputting when some speedy cat lays down those complex, fast runs with a bazillion notes. It loses me.
It takes skill, taste and style to present the sophisticated stuff in a way that is melodic and pleasing to me. Dan Jones delivered! Inspired arrangements that I understood despite my own limitations. Kudos to a great player. |

| I agree Dan. I've been lucky enough to catch them live a handful of times and have always really enjoyed them. Very inspirational yet depresses me at the same time (bc of my own musical limitations). Very skilled musicians. Wish I could have made it out yesterday but had some family obligations... |
