Little Walter Tube Amps is proud to announce the release of the new “89” Steel Guitar Amp. This amp is a departure from the octal preamp models. This Higher Gain amp has recording studio tone with the power needed to play the large, loud venues. This amp is currently on tour with Paul Franklin, Travis Toy, Dan Galysh, and one is being built for Bruce Bouton. The amp is paired with the new Eminence Double-T 12 speakers that were designed through a collaboration with Travis Toy to emulate the widely used BW-1201 12” speaker.

Phil was so kind to let me play through this new Little Walter 89 rig yesterday at the June Jam in Nashville. The amp sounded unbelievably great and took a beating! I was particularly impressed by the EQ options for tone and undying sustain and at a very loud volume too.
Yes, it's that good!

I hate that I missed Tommy White at the steel show. I heard it was great. Of course I would not have expected less. I did hear Russ Hicks play through the Little Walter the day before. The clarity and richness of tone were beyond good. Can't wait to get mine.

I can't tell you how proud I was to hear Russ Hicks, Tommy White, Eddie Dunlap, and Jonathan Culifer play the new "89" with the new Eminence Double-T 12 speakers. They were all great and the show was really nice. I pray that the show continues. Thanks to all of you.

I am using three 12AX7 (this is one of our new model 9 series amps due to the use of 9 pin preamp tubes). and 4 6L6 power tubes. The DC high voltage comes from a GZ34 rectifier tube.

Frank, this amp is between 80 and 100 watts and the higher gain architecture of the chassis gives it real punch. The thing that we all noticed at the show this weekend was the clarity of the tone. You could hear every string in a chord and it seemed to make the guitar come alive. I would think a 115 cabinet would really work great with this head. I have been testing it for guitar with the 115 and it is killer. The list price for this new head is $2,750 but I will offer discounts to anyone on the Steel Guitar Forum. You will need to call me for that. you can contact me at phil@littlewaltertubeamps.com or by phone. Thanks
