Had one just like it. Is it a fatback?

Thanks for the comments guys. The serial number is 1896 D. I think it is a Fatback model. I don't have the Emmons serial list on hand so I'm not sure of the year. It is all original!

The list off the Carter site indicates 74. Not sure how accurate it is but it should be close. I wish I had the money,.

He's selling it for a friend, and I would assume that he doesn't have the guitar. I think Doug could tell if it's a fatback or not...

Found this on my camera. Guess this answers your question. The guitar is in Concord, NC, but I have played it. It's everything I said it is.

I'm wondering if that is the gloss finish, or the mat finish. I might need one like that. Thanks, Tommy......

Tommy, I think this was called Arctic Blue. It is not a smooth polished finish but has a texture to it. I'm thinking satin would be a good way to describe it, but it isn't dull either. Sorry to be ambiguous on the color. It's a wonderful guitar, ready to play. All original.

If it is like the identical guitar I had years ago, it has dual coil pickups.

Hank Corwin had one that color, with closer 12 string spacing. It was an early 72. I don't recall ever seeing him play it, in later years, so it was probably sold.
