This version of the tune is transcribed from a William Leavitt arrangement from 1974. Thanks to Neil McCullum for sending me the original recording with standard notation.
I have changed my 'copedant' a little and this tune provided a great opportunity to put some of these changes into use. In particular, chromatic movement of notes in the lower register (strings 7, 8, & 9).

I hope this will be of interest to C6th players -- I will put the tablature for this arrangement in the "TABLATURE" section of the Forum, along with some exercises I did to demonstrate some of the newer changes.
Many thanks for listening.

attempting chord melody playing. Got a long way to go before I even get close to you. I fully understand how much effort goes into getting a working arrangement but I sure wish you'd light a fire under your butt and post another sooner than later!!!!!

Hi Paul. I missed this post of yours, and just stumbled across it now.
Yes, Jim Curl came out to SA with his wife and daughter. His daughter was on assignment/studying for a year or so. I contacted Jim more recently, and his daughter is back in the USA now.
It was really nice to meet up with him. We had lunch together at Montecasino (gambling place in Johannesburg),
It was a most pleasant surprise when he first contacted me on the forum to introduce himself and make arrangements to meet during his visit. Hope to hear from other steelers who might be visiting SA.
Great to see you in Mesa in Jan.
