This is my Sierra D-10/ 8/3 set-up which I acquired in 1999 (I'm the second owner, I believe).

Has a few scuffs here & there, nothing major that a bit of polishing won't buff out, I suppose. Sounds beautiful...this is the third Sierra I've owned and I've always liked them since the first one I owned back in '84 or so.

...except for the weight, lol. I just weighed this monster and it topped the scales at 90 lbs. in the case! 60 lbs. actual guitar weight. Shocked

Any ideas on the Serial number/I.D. for the Sierra? The only number that I can locate is on the body near pedal 1;

The number is D-10 - 2 09 - 7.

Any info. is appreciated.

Thanks so much! Smile

I don't know serial numbers. Sorry. My Sierra Olympic was made in 1978 and has the same features, so I would say late '70s.

I removed the info.. I can't remember what Don told me. If I find my Sierra papers, I may have some info on that... write Tom Baker an email at Sierra.

Here's a picture of the vertical knee lever I made for my Sierra... really nifty.

Hey, I like that vertical knee lever, Charley! It would make it a lot easier to use the vertical together with one of the other left knee levers -- which I occasionally want to do.

The nice part of that vertical knee lever is this... it is hinged off the front apron rail. That means the distance of the pull is the same, all across the leading edge of the vertical knee lever.

This guitar is a single neck, the double neck Sierras may be even easier, since they have a center rail with lots of holes to use for mounting stuff.
