From a Slide Show in today's Nashville Tennessean: Pete Drake & Jimmy Capps at Columbia w/ Patti Page. Pete is playing "Goldie" (you can see the crossover lever to the left) through a Randall Commander II amp.

Greg, before knee levers came along, Pete just had the standard A, B, and C pedals, except that he also lowered the 2nd string a full tone with the A pedal.
By the way, most older players also know that Pete's big nameplate on the front of that Sho~Bud covered up Buddy's "Buddie Emmons" monicker, which was on the front of that guitar (since Buddy Emmons owned it first).  |

Thanks Donny. I really like Pete - it was his playing that first drew me to the steel (on Dylan's JWH, Nashville Skyline, and Self Portrait albums).
