Question about Bud Isaacs

Did he ever play the banjo?

Two days a week, I work at a music store inside the Exchange at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS. We have a lot of retired military personnel frequent our store. A gentleman came in the store last week, to inquire about getting a banjo repaired that heâ€™s had in his attic for 40+ years. The head is busted, bridge is missing, etc.

He bought the banjo from a guy he was in the Service with. He said the guy was from Nashville, and played on the Opry. He also said that when the guy got out of the service, he returned to Nashville and continued playing on the Opry. He said the guyâ€™s name was Bud Isaacs.

Does anyone know anything about Bud Isaacs playing banjo?

I spoke with Bud on sunday. He doesn't recall ever selling a banjo. He does however have a banjo at his home that is over 150 years old....rj
