The driver saw the damage and brought it to Vic personally to see it and take pictures.

I spoke with the rep from the carrier. He feels the damage was caused from a drop off the conveyor or the truck. If that's the case, I "imagine" Fedex will assume reponsibility.

That might not be comforting news. They occasionally say that such a drop is a foreseeable hazard and should have been packaged to withstand such. So although that LOOKS like an admission of "oops", it might not be. But with only a $400 repair bill, they might cover it anyway. Don't let them off the hook.

Update

I took Lane's and Tony's advice and called everyday. The last call I made was to get the small claim court info. To make a long story short Fedex has agreed to pay $400 for the repairs to my PSG. Very Happy

I received payment from Fedex in the amount of $484.00 dollars today. I suppose I could have held out for more but I'm happy with what I got.
