I recently received an email from Steel Guitar Nashville asking if I want to stay on their mailing list. Does anybody know if they have reformed the business?

I am reluctant to confirming email addresses and the last I read on the forum was that the business was in limbo while Bobbe's estate was settled.

Thanks for any info, Walter

yes..they are in business...Vic Lawson runs the store, I am not sure if he is the sole owner but the doors are open. Michele still answers the phone too..! It appears they did a blanket email to all the clients on the former store list....

I can personally state that Vic is in charge and they're going strong at this point. I shipped my Bud for repairs. Fedex damaged the guitar in transit and it's being repaired as I write this. It's not a cheap undertaking but Vic helped me file a claim. I'm more than pleased... at this point.

I also received that email and am so glad to see Vic is up and running. Can't wait to drop by and say Hi. I'm sure he will have my "next" steel on the floor and ready to go.

Good to hear this news (except for RC's Bud). Thanks for the update.

I don't think anyone needs to worry about Vic. He seems like a upstanding guy. Smile

it should also be noted that Forum EMAILS are not public so the only way the message could have been sent to so many forum members was from a legitimate store email list which Michelle has from Bobbe's SGN list...

No one told me! I received no regular or email notification. Was it something I said?

Always enjoyed Vic's reflections during Bobbes absence.

I'm certain it's an oversite or you may not be on his list. Vic is an upfront kinda guy. You have to remember Bobbe's passing was a surprise and things were pretty hectic there for a while. I think that Vic's ability to keep the store open was a miracle in itself.
