To answer questions concerning this guitar. If anyone can tell the date of build please do so as I don't know about Carter serial numbers. I believe the serial number is readable in the last photo. I will sell to the first person that actually states they wish to buy it whether it be a PM, an email to rollermusic@cox.net or a post here on the Forum.
Answers as best I know....
It is 26" from floor to bottom of front apron. I can lower it an inch or I can put a lift kit on it at no extra cost. I am going to put new strings on it and it needs absolutely nothing. It sounds and plays great. It is standard Emmons setup with LKL raise E strings, LKV lower 5 and 10 to Bb, LKR lowers E's. RKL raises 1st a whole tone and lowers 6 a whole tone, RKR lowers 2nd D#, D, C# with a very positive dedicated half stop, and lowers string 9 to C#. Pedals are standard Emmons. I don't know year built but it has the more modern cabinet with the removable aluminum rear apron. An extra clean guitar and a bargain. My offer is that I pay shipping to any State so nothing extra for shipping. (Added edit)
I am willing to add a raise on the 2nd string on E9th on the lever that raises the 1st string. It does not have that pull and if I were playing it I would want that pull on it.
Jerry

The year is indicated by the 1st and 5th digits, 99.
(The first digit is faint in the picture but it looks like a 9, and the Carter logo is the older 1990s style.)
6th thru 8th digits = 130 = day of year made
2nd thru 4th digits = 064 = 64th guitar made that year
Last 2 digits = 20 = D-10

Incidentally I believe the "BCT" feature was added in 1998, so this guitar would likely have it.

Very nice guitar at a very nice price.

The first digit is a "9". However, the guitar has the hollow cross shafts but I don't know when Carter went to solid shafts. Also, the necks are standard and not the optional premium necks. I am pretty certain it has BCT because all the fingers are pulled back against the wood cabinet and not against a metal stop. Thanks for all who helped with determining year built. No takers yet.

Jerry,

I believe the first number is a "0". And the 5th number is a "1". Making this a 2001. There is a small stamped "3" in front of the "0", but I think that is an end plate designation.

My eyes are going so I put my "cheater" glasses on and I used a magnifying glass. I almost sure this is serial number "0649130 20" So the 1st and 5th numbers are "01".

If I'm wrong somebody let me know. There's almost a first time ???

Al

Thanks to all who helped with the model year. Serial number poorly stamped but with a light I can see the first digit is definitely a "9". Anyway, it is going to a very nice gentleman on the East coast.
I'm sure he will be very proud of this very low mileage guitar.
