Reese dated my S10 Vintage XL #1C6924 as June 1980. Can we guess that the first number shows the number of necks and the rest are sequential? If so, yours would probably be in the late 70's......just a guess. |

Thanks again - as long as I have an approximate date I should be OK.
I am just ordering some parts ( bell ranks etc) from psgparts.com and wanted to check that the guitar was pre-1985

All of the MSA "Classic" series were made between 1971 and 1983, when the old company went out of business. Reece told me the numbers were roughly sequential, but that there were exceptions, as some guitars took longer to complete than others, and the numbers were assigned at the start of the build process. |

I'm confused. I thought the double raise Classic discontinued when MSA started making their triple raise guitars, around 1980. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.
