Ha ha! That was exactly my original plan! I just wanted to make sure I understood the options.

Just an update:

My new Williams S-10 came in yesterday.

Would you believe it? Sustain, even string response, smooth mechanism, and a solid feel.

Only two things I regret:

1) Not maximizing the "Cadillac" aesthetic options. Wink

2) Relying on the Carter Starter for so long.

Everything I said about the CS in this thread has been borne out in my short time owning professional-level instruments.
