Up for sale is an Epiphone Electar Duo Console steel from about 1949. I believe this pickup style was introduced in 1948, and the body on this model was redesigned in 1950, so that brackets the possible date of production. Other than the knobs, which crumbled long ago, this steel is 100% original and very clean. The electronics all work perfectly; the sound is bright and clear, with some nice mellower tones available with the tone control rolled back. The original hard case is nearly as clean as the instrument itself. SOLD.

Bump for a beautiful old guitar at a great price. Love the tortoise binding, the color coded fret markers, logos and the chicken head knobs - really stunning! Good luck! |
