I got a chance to ask Will Hoge some questions about his new album and tour. Hoge's last album was "steel light" (meaning none) but his old steel player Adam Ollendorff was really tasteful on album and live.

Hoge said the new album will have some steel and I'm happy to say its by Russ Pahl!

Lets hope he gets a steel player for his live set right guys?

Will is extremely talented and wish I could have got him to say more on how important the steel is for some songs. That was a stock question I've been waiting to ask him but forgot!

Anybody know how I can get ahold of Russ Pahl? Please message/inbox me.

I'd love to do a project on his take of the pedal steel. The man is doing some great stuff not just with contemporary country acts but artists and songs you wouldn't expect steel to be prominent in!

Brandon, he sure is! I didn't know he was still touring with her. Do you know what kind of effects board he is always playing with?

I love that he is now playing strictly steel in her band I'm sure he is fine tuning his sound.

Not sure about the effects board, but I do know that he plays a Sho-Bud.

I've seen him play something other than a Sho-Bud once....which is odd considering he has a Sho-Bud tattoo.

Anyways, still trying to reach Russ Pahl. If anyone can direct me please message me.
