I don't know if people like Grover steel guitar tuners, but right now, Stewart MacDonald in having a close-out sale, and they've got Grovers, in a set of 10 (5R,5L) for fifty dollars and change. That's cheaper that Grovers for guitars.

Thanks for the tip. I just bought a set for my Carter S-10 to replace the Sperzels, which are stiff and uneven. Looks like I'll have to drill new holes for the anchor pins on the Grovers, which appear to be in a different location than those on the Sperzels. I like the Grovers I have on another guitar so I'm hoping these work out for the Carter.
