Hey all, I can't help but share. My band released our first album today, and it is my first full-length effort at steel (we did a 2-song EP when we first started). I played my 1949 National Grand Console, my 1930 Style 1.5 Tricone, and my great-grandfather's early '40s Sherwood Deluxe, as well as a little double bass, acoustic guitar, and percussion.

Here's a preview, give it a listen!

This is fun. Hands down. It might not be for everybody (YMMV), but this is an excellent example of steel guitar being used in music that is relevant to modern culture and genres.

Way to bring vintage instruments to play songs about time travel.

You guys should tour the comic/sci-fi/gaming convention circuit.

Come to Missoula, MT next year for Miscon. I think you would blow some minds.

I would love to! We're starting to get into the convention circuit, this year we played Chi-Fi, M2X, DashCon, CIMMFest, and we're playing Daisho Con, Long Island Doctor Who Convention, Chi-Fi, and some others.

The unfortunate thing is that our guitarist just moved six hours away, so I'll be switching to guitar for the shows he can't make. It is much easier for me to cover both the guitar and steel parts from a guitar than from a steel.
