Dickey's incredible playing of strings in unison can easily trick your ear! He is proabably the master of this. Taking one string up and another in the same note down at just the right time will baffle the best of us! Just gotta LOVE his style!! |

To my ear, the timbre of the Bbm-Am sounds more like the skinnier 3-4-5 strings with the E lowers sliding from fret 2 to fret 1, and the following 3rd fret G (I think Dean is right) sounds like it's slid up to on the attack.
That said, as others have said there are a bunch of different ways to get the same notes. I always used to play the Bbm-Am with A&B pedals, strings 6-5-1, frets 4-3, then just hit string 4 before the 8-6-5 lick. |
