Steel Driver II and Nashville 1000 and Derby

On my 68 emmons i used to use the Steel Driver II. After purchasing a Derby 2.5 yrs ago i was experimenting around with the sound and took the Driver out of the loop...the pickups are so much hotter on the Derby that i havent seen much benefit to using the Steel Driver, especially after adding a Nashville 1000 to the setup...with all that headroom, the sustain just keeps coming...any comments on the use of the driver? I may want to sell it.
