My LKR lever that raises my 1st and7th strings from f# to g# is coming up slightly flat when the lever is engaged. When i adjust the pull at the end of the rods with the key wrench the strings come up too sharp when the knee lever is disengaged. What am i doing wrong? Anybody got any ideas because im baffled? In other words when i adjust the pull to the right pitch the strings are "way" sharp when the lever is released.Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas, bob

Sounds like you need more "travel" on that KL. Adjust the KL stop for a bit more "throw" and it sould tune up fine then.

You are correct Jim,

But on all "right moving" knee levers on a Sierra, it is sometimes easier said than done. And it depends on whether the Sierra is the older "Crown" series; or the early OR late version "Session" series guitars.

The best thing to do, is to call Sierra and talk to Tom. A nicer gentleman has never walked the face of this earth. He will not only help you, but he KNOWS these guitars like few others.

Good luck, and may Jesus richly bless you in your quests,

carl

Carl, your correct too!
I was relating my experience with a newer
S-12 session and it was easy to adj a "R" moving KL on that model.

I recently had my sierra crown over to sierra for a complete tuneup. One thing i found out is that the return spring tension was causing me problems on one of my strings. Like Carl D. said, Tom is one unique person....I sure do apapreciate all of the support he has provided to me.
