I just received my split cases for my D10 Willy from Kevin Hatton. Great fit and so much lighter than having everything in one case. Thanks Kevin.

I've been using a split case set, that I built, for several years.

At 76 and not having all the tools I used to have, I'm now having Kevin build me a two piece set with wheels.

Jack, the case for the body of the steel has wheels, the other one is so light when the mail carrier brought it I put it under my arm to bring them in. Well built but light.

I'm 70 so I'm doing everything I can think of to get the weight down. Rick Johnson is building me a cab so I can split the power from the speakers in my 65' RI Twin Reverb. I have a Cube 80XL but when it comes right down to it, I prefer the sound I get from my Fender TR.

I have split cases for one of my steels, the other I put the cabinet in the steel case, and pedal bar, legs, and rods in a Martin back-packer gig bag. back-packer works great for those items. Forum member told me about the back-packer, can't remember who it was. And the Martin back-packer is only $25.

I had a vinyl case made that I carried my rod/leg bag & pedal bar in for a few years but I still had the bulk & weight of the original case to deal with. The Hatton split cases packs better when I go to Arizona (my wife takes half of the house with Oh Well ) .

If anyone is interested in buying my vinyl case, (it's still like new) $20.00 + postage.
