I'm sure this has been discussed here before, but I missed it.
My 35 year old steel plays and sounds great, but the case is another story. It's time to put this battle weary box out to pasture and get a new case.

Where can I find a good new case for my S-10? Is there someone who might build one to the exact specs of this old one?

Hugh Briley is the man for cases. You can search for him on here or read/see some of his previous posts about cases.

If you're the handy/motivated sort, you can build an ATA style case with supplies readily available on the interwebs. It may not be as cost effective (read: what's your time worth?) as getting a nice set of split cases from Kevin Hatton or Fred Justice et al, but could be a fun project.

I can vouch for Hugh Briley - he made me a nice split case for my D10 Emmons last fall and the workmanship is second to none. All I had to do was measure my steel, we traded a few emails and voila! Case fits Emmons like a glove!

All those makers are excellent. But Hugh is my favorite.
