Have any tried this tuning to play slide on a regular 6 string?
Low to high E B D# G# B E

I was playing around w open E and did some slides that required fingering on 4th and 5th fret to get the correct voicing so I thought why not just detune 4th string so I can use slide instead?

It didnt mess up totally the feel of open E and I got a very useful open 3rd note for the V chord also.

This is what I played
Tab:

E  |---------------------
B  |------/5--3~~~~------
G# |------/5--3~~~~------
D# |------/5--3~~~~------
B  |---------------------
E  |--0------------------

Playing in Emajor or Bmajor workes totally ok.

Not sure how it would work on lapsteel tho.
