With great sadness I must report that my dear friend and Masonic Brother, Bobby Bowman, finally is at rest from his battle with leukemia. He passed away at 7:06 this morning, July 13 2014.

I received the call from Toni a few minutes ago, and she asked me to place this notice on the Forum. Final arrangements are pending and will be posted here as soon as the details will be made known.

I've been dreading this inevitability, as have all of Bobby's friends. Please pray that Toni will find strength and consolation in these upcoming days.

Such sad news for such a great man. BB was like a long lost friend the very first time I met him. He was one of the greatest, kindest souls I have ever met in my 58 years. He will be missed.

My condolences to Toni and the rest of the family during this sad time.

This is very sad news.
Bobby was always in the chat room and would help out anyone that was in need when ever possible.
We would talk all the time.
While I never met Bobby in person, I felt like he was a family member.

We knew it was inevitable....still it is hard for us mortals to accept. Bobby was a fine gentleman, and as they say, the world's loss is heaven's gain. RIP old Pal. Prayers for Toni at this difficult time.

As we journey through our lives we meet many people, the vast majority of whom we can't recall, unlike Bobby, who left an indelible mark on all those he came in contact with. One that is not easily forgotten. One who was the definition of a 'people person'. A genuine life long friend within the first few minutes of meeting him. He could make you laugh with his jokes and cry with his music. He was among those few in this world that possess the qualities that was Bobby Bowman. A man, a mentor, a kindred spirit, and a consummate musician that no one could deny friendship nor respect.

My life, and that of everyone that had the good fortune of meeting him, was enriched by his friendship.

Our hearts go out to Toni and his family in this time of sorrow.

Michael and Agnes

So sorry to read this this morning.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Toni and the family.

Anytime you saw Bobby he always had that smile and would say. How you doin' and if you ask him back the same he would either say I am doin; OK but how are you - he really cared for every one he counted as a friend. He only had to met you once to remember you too.

RIP Mr Bobby

Yes, we knew this was coming but it is still very difficult... gut wrenching actually.

I spoke to Bobby about a week ago and I could tell he was really tired. Despite that, he was still his regular upbeat and humorous self.

May he be with The Lord now in comfort and peace. My prayers and sympathies go out for Toni and all his family and friends.

Sincerely,
Chris "Tiny" Olson

Same here, Jack. He had such a big heart, very easy to befriend. We'll sure miss him here on the Forum, and I'm sure the Texas show won't be the same without him.

My condolences to his close friends and family.
