I am trying to use BIAB for live use with the bass only. I mute the drums and program the song, then render with bass only selected on the mixer. The "use drum sound for count-in" is checked in the rendering dialog box. When I play back the WAV or MPEG file the count-in is not there. If I include the drums it is there but I don't want to use the drums. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Program your "song" using what every style you want to use the "Bass" playing from. Go to the 1st chord of the song, right click that measure and click on "chord settings" in the list. In the Chord Settings box, choose "rest only" for "rest type", check the "all except" button and then check the box for Bass. You will have to make these setting changes for each new chord change in your song, but when I did this just now in BIAB, I got the "drum sound" for the count in and then just Bass over 2 measures of C and then 2 measures of F that I entered to test it out. Hope this helps you get what you want.

Thanks Jim. I appreciate the help. I am doing Hawaiian music with a ukulele and steel live, and the drums just get in the way.

I just realized that there is a faster way to get this done. In key of C as example:enter "C.b" in the 1st measure (without the "'s) and so on for each chord change. It's a short-hand way to get to the same results as the method I posted before.
Probably a good thing to know both way's.
