Mrs. Wolf had plead guilty in front of Sumner County Grand Jury on April 23rd, and received 3 years probation, and was ordered by court to pay restitution of $1,700.00 to me... court will be collecting the money from her, and sending it to me... she can pay all at once, or she has 3 years to pay in payments...which is all good with me, the main thing is, she is stopped, and wont be scamming people (hopefully) any more...

db

DA just called and said they have the whole $1,700.00 for me, and will mail it tomorrow...so, messy story with an happy ending... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Great job making the extra effort to follow through on this Damir. I'm sure you helped prevent some of us from getting scammed in the future.

yes, I hope I did, because she was scanning the forum obviously, and she seems to be a pretty smart old lady, finding a nice Fessenden picture on the internet, and figuring out a right price, considering that she didn't know anything about the steel guitars, she must have done some work and research on steel guitars...

Good result in the end Damir. Sad part is that she could probably pay her debt to you in one go courtesy of income from others that she has scammed. You have shown great restraint and dignity throughout this saga. Smile Smile

Damir - you handled this whole mess with style, very happy to hear you were made whole.

But vigilance for scammers like this must never cease - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recidivism. These kind of people are a scourge upon the Earth.

Myself, I've been ripped off of major musical equipment a couple of times - gig stuff left in a band van overnight, junkies needing a fix, blah blah blah. I'm still receiving probation department checks 18 years later on some of this stuff. Me and my network of musical brethren sniffed out the stuff when they sold it, and their lawyers were shocked when I appeared in court - many musicians don't follow it up. I'm a bloodhound - if you rip off my stuff, I'm gonna git you, sucker.

Ma fren' Damir, I'd like to buy a guitar; maybe we can work out a payment schedule, through an agency perhaps, on propation, I mean approval.
I see Dave M. still has some valued customers in the 10 to 20 plan....

I have never understood how anyone can cheat anyone, or steal, without a heavy load on their conscience. My wonderful mother and father made sure we were in church every week and we lived by those biblical regulations. This, IMO, is the importance of religion in ones life. I consider myself a Jewish Catholic and that's the short explanation that makes sense to me. My brother in law is from a Jewish family and he has converted to the Christian faith, probably because of the influence of my sister. I don't want to upset anyone about their faith or whatever, but these are the principles that I live by and I am totally happy. Finally I sure miss Carl Dixon and his wisdom and influence.

Websites, too?

Glad you got your money refunded. And as much as it pains me to see a woman in jail--She got just what she deserved.

This is a great place to buy stuff. Actions such as yours, will keep it a great place.

I have a different email address set up on my web site, and people who email me through my website often are not members here, when Im talking with guys that are members here I have certain amount of trust, and its difrent from dealing with people I know nothing about...on here you can check a profile of the person, and get an idea who they are if you don't know them already..
