This guitar did belong to Wendell Smith who worked for Derby Steel when the company was formed. This has to be a part of the history of the steel guitar as the serial number is 0001. Wendell told me this was absolutely the first one made. It has 4 knee levers and 8 floor pedals. Has the Day setup. The guitar plays and sounds great. It does need a little going over to touch up all the adjustments. Wendell said he is 80 years old and cannot see like he used to, hence the adjustments, nothing major. price is 1500 and I will split the shipping to the lower 48. thanks for looking.

Holy moly! Looks like a What-a-Deal! How can you beat this deal for a D-10? The fretboard is super cool. Derbys are great guitars. I'd love to have this to go with my SD-10, but the timing just isn't right. Somebody please buy this. Please! |
