Wayne Dahl and I playing a new work by Catherine Lamb last night in Austin.
We were both playing Clinesmith steels through Milkman amps. (Wayne has the Clinesmith on top of his Ritt)

Videos may be up soon.

We played a piece by Catherine Lamb. Which is pretty different even from my admittedly different perspective. Wayne also did a swing tune that should give a good representation of that fantastic new steel of his and a milkman amp.

The Catherine Lamb piece is pretty cool....how on earth did you manage to read a score for that? and get the timing right? Is there a lot of it left up to the performers?

I wish I could've made it to Austin for this! Great work. The duet is really nice. Don't tell Catherine Lamb that those clinesmiths are non-pedal steel guitars Alien

Man, that's really outstanding. Some really fine playing. If it sounds that good on my IPad, I can only imagine how great it sounds live. Thanks for posting.

I just want to say a public thanks to Bob Hoffner for asking me to accompany him on the duet gig. So different yet so cool. Glad everyone on here is enjoying it as much as Bob and I did! Wayne

Any questions about whether the man(WD) knows what it takes to get tone/sustain should now be answered. Definitely the best sounding RB I've heard anywhere! Good to hear Wayne get to actually play something other than what's on CD's, etc. Maybe some E9th sometime. I'm impressed, very nice playing!
