I didn't mean non-celebrity engraver! I was thinking about Jimmy Page painting a dragon on his Tele or Leon's Stringmaster that had "Take It Away Leon" painted on the front. The fact that it's a celebrity musician's customization adds value. Otherwise most modifications to vintage Fenders (even cool ones like a B-bender) reduce the value. I didn't think about celebrity within the engraving world but from the way that Stringmaster looks I would have to say you must be the Paul Franklin or Reece Anderson of engraving! |

Paul, I know what you meant. I was just having fun. I wouldn't expect anyone here to know who I am. It's funny you mentioned Leon's stringmaster because I was seriously thinking of engraving his portrait on the back neck panel with the phrase "Take it away, Leon". |
