In another thread about Norman Hamlet, there was a link to a YouTube video featuring Norman.

It appears he has a one or two foot cable that is directly plugged into his amplifier.

Question: What is this connection plug wire that is the last 2 feet prior to directly plugging into the amp?

He may be using an XLR cable to run to his amp. The thing that is a couple of feet from the 1/4" plug is an adapter that takes XLR to 1'4". My mixer has 1/4" out for monitors. I convert it to XLR with one of these adapters. Hope this helps.

He might have low impedance pickups. Real clear tone.
