Anyone else notice added noise with the EQ engaged? I usually have it bypassed, but am finding this amp sounds a little shrill with my Zum single coils. Any advice someone who owns one of these can give me? Thanks!! _________________ Franklins, Zums, Emmonseses, Webbs |

Barrett, is this a low level noise? Mine has a slight noise in it when I have effects in the mix using the loop in the rear but it's not noticable when you're playing. Just a kind of "open" noise if that makes any sense. I have never noticed any additional noise when the EQ is enaged or not. |

I had something similar, and it was suggested I replace the EQ in/out toggle switch. I did, and it solved my problem.. You might try some contact cleaner on the switch first. I allways try the easiest and cheapest possible fix first. I'm a total rube when it comes to electronics, But replacing the switch worked for me. Best of luck. |

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. It is a low level "white" noise, that is more pronounced with the EQ engaged. Almost like a static, but not that bad. I've tried different outlets, power conditioners, and nothing is seeming to help. _________________ Franklins, Zums, Emmonseses, Webbs |

Each eq knob has an associated filter circuit with a transistor and related caps. As well as resistors. A transistor can cause such noise. I have had cap failures in these amps as well that resulted in very similar noises. |

I'm thinking that's what it's gotta be. I'm gonna try to find someone in Nashville who's familiar with Webb and have it checked out. I appreciate the help. _________________ Franklins, Zums, Emmonseses, Webbs |

Barett - Did you find someone here in town you can recommend? Mine needs work as well and would love to do have it done locally if I can. |
