this is my 2nd carter and my last....unless this one wares out totally,i'm playing this untill i die. i just got my brand new sd-10 black bodied beauty. with the new B/L xr-16 pick up in it.you guys/gals have got to try this pick up on this guitar...UNREAL....as i said before this is my 2nd carter. my 1st can be seen on the carter web site under my name in the BCT. testimonials section. now i loved the sound of my 1st carter...BUT ...yes i'm shallow. this guitar was green. some people like green ...NOT ME...so i sold it and bought this new one. black...hehehehe. now i must admit i am a person that always covers there butt so with that said i sent a email to bobbe to see what he would want for the new emmons on his site...bobbe thanks for your time but please disregard that email... anyways i thought i'd try out my new guitar with the new xr-16 pick up. the tone is so full, and clean... the sound is so different... i can compare it to another brand but i won't....but i will say this i have always liked the e66 but this b/l xr-16 . you got to try this thing... so here comes the end. to ann, john and bud, you people have totally out did yourself this time. this guitar plays even smoother than my last one. i told you once before i was a customer for life and i'm now telling you again. thanks for a wonderful product. and to bill lawrence thanks for a great pick up...your going to have a winner in this pick up. and i would also like to thank al brisco for everthing he has done for me.

P/S i know your reading this ann ...thats why i put the title of this thread the way i did...hehehehehe

Yes Wayne, I remember that guitar, but I didn't notice the differant pickups. I was too busy studying Joe's "log" .
